Abstract
Wavelet and PDE techniques are among
the most popular and powerful mathematical techniques for
image processing. Superficially, they seem to be based on
completely different philosophies and techniques and indeed
the respective research communities have been quite independent
of each other. In this talk, I'll show, by several examples
of our own works and others, how a synergistic combination
of these two approaches can lead to powerful techniques that
can reap the special advantageous properties of each. |
