Admission Requirement

Basic Requirement

• All applicants must have graduated from an accredited college or university.
• Applicants should normally possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Business or other related majors be proficient in Basic Mathematics;

Language Requirement

Applicants should satisfy at least one of the following requirements on English language proficiency:

• he/she used English as the medium of learning in his/her Bachelor's degree course,
• a minimum score of 79 (internet-based) in TOEFL,
• an overall band score of 6.0 in IELTS with a minimum of 6.5 or above in the sub-test of reading or listening,
  or equivalent qualifications.

Please Note

• For exceptional cases in which applicants have other qualifications or substantial experience, the Programme committee will determine their suitability based on individual merits and interviews.
• Students may be requested to complete an English Language course at the discretion of the Programme Committee. Such course fees are to be borne by the students.

Application Procedure

1. Apply the application online

Applicants can apply for admission to HKBU through online application platform.

2. Upload required documents

• Identity Document

  For local applications, photocopy of HKID or passport.

  For non-local students, photocopy of other identity document of home country.

• Photocopies of Certificates and Transcripts
• Resume
• Statement of Goals and Objectives
• Proof of English Proficiency

3. Referee Letter

• Request two referees to complete the Confidential Recommendation Form for you. Please follow the instructions listed in the online application system.

4. Interview

After application, applicants may be invited for an interview through email. Please follow the relative instruction.

5. After receiving admission offer

• Arrange to send the official transcript(s) for the academic qualification(s) to the Academic Registry -- TPg Studies Section directly by the original institution(s)/authorities. These documents should bear all the academic records of your undergraduate and/or postgraduate studies to date.
